Behind the scenes of out latest shoot

One of the defining characteristics of all of our jewels are their tiny details. Each is designed and created with the intention of drawing the eye in to discover their often unexpected intricacies and minutiae, whether a hint of sparkle from half-buried diamonds, or elaborate and skilfully crafted gold work.

This approach echoes how Ruth views the world around her: "My friends always laugh about the fact that I tend to zoom in on the minutest of details, instead of looking at a whole coral reef or grassy landscape. And it’s true – I remember once looking at a plant and all I could see was a clutch of tiny butterfly eggs on one of its leaves. They were just so beautiful. Those little hidden treasures are what captures my imagination the most."

For our most recent shoot, we decided to turn to a miniature world and place the jewellery within it. Ruth had been collecting tiny pieces of furniture and decor for a doll's house for her daughter, and the idea of incorporating our jewels into the tiny domestic scenes took root. The results are a playful interpretation of scale and detail.
